Healing Prayers and Anointing – Sunday, December 3rd at each service

On the First Sunday of the Month, at each service, you will have an opportunity to receive anointing and prayers for healing from a member of our healing team.

Please receive communion first and then, if you wish, walk back to the baptismal font for anointing and healing prayers.

Hole-y Sunday is December 3rd!

The first Sunday of each month, the Vestry will be gracing the table of Paxson Hall with the sweet confectionary called donuts.  What better way to connect with old friends and new than snacking on an all time favorite.

So please join your Vestry in the powder and the glory of Donuts!

New at St. Paul’s: a Toddler Room!

St. Paul’s now offers nursery care for our littlest ones during the 10:00 service on Sundays in our brand new Toddler Room, located right on the stage of Paxson Hall.

Parents of children ages 6 months to 3 years can feel free to drop them off starting at 9:30am.

Our Toddler Room is very kid-friendly, with toys, books, and even a crib for those needing a nap. Parents should feel free to make use of it as needed, whether for the whole service or until Communion.

Children of all ages are always welcome in church—and so our Toddler Room is simply an option, not a requirement. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me…”

December 3rd is “Name Tag” Sunday

Please pick up a name tag on your way in to church. We will continue Name Tag Sunday for the next few weeks to welcome Father Daniel and to help him get to know us better.

Christmas Music and Flower Memorials

Please find forms for submitting Christmas Music and Flower Memorials in Sunday’s bulletins. Deadline for submission is Sunday, December 17.

  Join us in December for

“Breakfast for Dinner” at 6:30 on Wednesday, 12/6

at the Perkins Pancake House in Doylestown.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season for a relaxing dinner or just come late for dessert with the ladies of TAG.

Please RSVP to the Church Office, Mary Ellen Wilson, or Mary Ann Gosnell.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Doyle Elementary

Mitten Tree Information

This year we will once again be helping the families from Doyle Elementary by helping with their Mitten Project. The mittens will have a number and gender and a suggested gift.

After purchasing the gift, wrap the gift and attach the mitten on the wrapped gift. There will be a bin in the coat area of Paxson Hall marked the Mitten Project. Please bring in all gifts within the next two weeks.

Also, please make sure the mitten is securely attached to the gift. This is an easy way to make someone's holiday a little brighter. Any questions, see Mary Smith.

Sunday, Dec. 17: Brotherhood Breakfast & Visit by Bishop Nikolaos of Myra

On the 3rd Sunday of Advent (December 17), we will have two very special events:

  • A parish breakfast in Paxson Hall, hosted by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew and taking place after both services.
  • An in-service visitation by the Rt. Rev. Nikolaos of Myra—a.k.a. St. Nicholas! Bishop Nikolaos may also make a special appearance at breakfast…

Hey, children! Can you find the Magi?

Did you notice the empty creche in front of the altar in church? In these weeks before Christmas, we are in a season of waiting for wonderful things—and we are waiting for Jesus to be born! The Magi (or Wise Men) were also waiting, and traveled far to find the infant Jesus.

For the next few weeks, they will be traveling around our church until Jesus finally arrives. Can you spot them? Keep a close lookout—they keep on moving!

Call for Vestry Nominations

In January 2018, St. Paul’s will elect its next class of members to our Vestry. If you wish to nominate someone (or yourself) as a candidate for election to the Vestry, please contact the parish administrator, Mrs. Angela Stoots, by email or phone.

The Rector and Wardens will then reach out to nominees directly with more information about the process. Please submit nominations to the church office by Monday, December 18. And please continue to keep the Vestry in your prayers as they strive to lead and serve our beloved church.
