Veterans and the Christian Life

With an Adult Forum at 9:15 in Paxson Hall

This Sunday we will give particular attention to the presence of veterans among us at St. Paul’s.

In addition to remembering veterans in the prayers that we offer, we will also host an Adult Forum presentation by Steve Gosnell, who will share about his experience as a veteran looking back on his naval career, and how this experience has impacted his faith.

This presentation will take place in between services, at 9:15 in Paxson Hall. Come and hear about what the Christian life looks like from a veteran’s perspective.

New at St. Paul’s: a Toddler Room!

St. Paul’s now offers nursery care for our littlest ones during the 10:00 service on Sundays in our brand new Toddler Room, located right on the stage of Paxson Hall. Parents of children ages 6 months to 3 years can feel free to drop them off starting at 9:30am.

Our Toddler Room is very kid-friendly, with toys, books, and even a crib for those needing a nap. Parents should feel free to make use of it as needed, whether for the whole service or until Communion.

Children of all ages are always welcome in church—and so our Toddler Room is simply an option, not a requirement. As Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me…”

Sunday, November 12th is “Name Tag” Sunday

Please pick up a name tag on your way in to church. We will continue Name Tag Sunday for the next few weeks to welcome Father Daniel and to help him get to know us better.

Wednesday, November 22 at 6:00 pm:

Thanksgiving Eve Mass

Come and get your Thanksgiving started off right with the Great Thanksgiving! All are invited to take a break from their preparations and come to church for a celebration of Holy Eucharist on Thanksgiving Eve at 6:00pm.

This brief service will include music and special prayers of thanksgiving for all the gifts that God has given us. “Let us come before God’s presence with Thanksgiving, and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.” (Psalm 95)

Diocesan Special Event: Responding to Racism in America

The Anti-Racism Commission of the Diocese of Pennsylvania is sponsoring a day-long event titled “Why, What To Do: Responding to Race in America.”

This free event will be held on Saturday, November 18 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Germantown (9:00am–4:00pm). Fr. Daniel would like to organize a group of people to come with him to this event.

The hope is to increase our understanding of racism in our society and institutions, as we fulfill our Baptismal vow to “strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.”

If you would like to attend this event or wish to learn more, please contact Fr. Daniel (email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or phone: 215.348.5511 ext. 14).

The Prayer Shawl Ministry has switched their meetings to the 3rd Saturday of the month which is more convenient for everyone.

Please mark your calendar for Saturday, November 18th at 11am at Jacky Grande’s house, 408 Parkview Circle in Warrington.

As a reminder, whether you make the meeting or not, please continue on any projects you are working on.

Completed projects can be dropped off at the church, put in the PSM Closet or contact Marie Ciampa or Jacky Grande with any questions.

Thanksgiving Food Collection

This year we will once again be collecting food for families in need from Doyle Elementary School. There will be bins placed in the closet area of Paxson Hall.

Gift cards to local supermarkets are needed as well. Please bring your donations IN by Sunday, November 19. Thanks everyone for your support in this outreach project.
